Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Office Specialist to join our client at the Office of Housing and Community Services. This is a temporary position that will last between 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, prior administrative experience, and a passion for customer service.


Responsibilities:

Greet visitors and manage front desk operations with professionalism and courtesy

Answer and direct calls using a multi-line phone system, ensuring effective phone etiquette

Provide exceptional customer support and service to clients and staff
Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings

Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
Maintain organized filing systems for documents and records

Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for various administrative functions
Proofread documents to ensure accuracy and clarity

Support the team with clerical duties as needed, including typing correspondence and reports

Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively

Job Requirements

Experience:

Proven experience in an office environment with a focus on administrative support
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for enhanced communication capabilities
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong clerical experience with attention to detail in filing, data entry, and documentation
