Administrative Support Specialist Temporary (Apopka Area)

Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

Location: Apopka, FL

Employment Type: Longer-term Temporary Assignment

Job Description:

This role provides high-level administrative and clerical support to a divisional manager and team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Excel, data entry, and general administrative support.

Job Requirements

Representative Duties / Assignments:


Duties may vary based on area of assignment and include:


Performing complex administrative and confidential tasks


Composing, proofreading, and editing correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports


Providing guidance on county policies to staff and the public


Coordinating and preparing materials for meetings, including agendas and minutes


Supporting departmental boards or committees, including minute-taking and preparation of presentations

Assisting with appeals, public hearing requests, and interactions with officials and the public


Maintaining and updating software databases and ensuring policy compliance


Participating in emergency response activities

Performing transcription duties in medical or EMS settings, using appropriate terminology

Consulting medical references to verify report accuracy



Qualifications:


High school diploma or equivalent


Minimum of four (2) years of secretarial or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Typing speed of at least 40 correct words per minute


Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office software


Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


Preferred Experience:

Prior work in a medical clinic, EMS, or Medical Examiner's office


Experience with data entry and spreadsheet management
