JOB DESCRIPTION
ELIGIBILITY SPECIALISTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING WHETHER INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. ELIGIBILITY SPECIALISTS MAY ALSO BE TASKED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT THESE PROGRAMS TO THE PUBLIC. THIS MIGHT INCLUDE EXPLAINING HOW TO APPLY FOR BENEFITS, WHAT DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED, ETC.

Job Requirements

Duties /Assignments
? Screens and interviews applicants for eligibility for financial assistance or other division programs, evaluates income, family status, and related information, makes proper disposition or referral of case, on basis of eligibility.
? Attends periodic staff conferences, confers with superiors on difficult assignments, prepares reports and correspondence on assigned cases, and maintains related status records.
? Screens and assesses walk-in clients to determine their readiness for eligibility appointments and assists Assessor in scheduling appropriate appointments for these clients.
? Receives incoming telephone calls and assesses client's needs for referral to appropriate agencies and arranges appointments to determine eligibility for financial assistance.
? Advises clients of appropriate documentation to bring to interview.
? Acts as liaison for division programs with partners, contractors and other stakeholders and service providers.
? Maintains and updates client files in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
? Assists in obtaining information and records for client files.
? Provides program services directly to clients.
? Performs related work as required.

Full time, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug screen before position starts.

One of Brittany’s successes was in early 2023, where she earned the title of Certified Staffing Specialist through the American Staffing Association. The certification brings additional knowledge and skills to her role as a Staffing Specialist, making her a valuable resource for clients and employees.  

Working in a small business, everyone where’s many hats and that is true for Brittany. She is our workers' compensation liaison between host employers, employees, and the insurance carrier.  â€¯â€¯ 

In her free time, Brittany enjoys the beach, cooking, exercising, and spending quality time with her husband, children, and two dogs.
