Job Description

Eligibility Specialists are responsible for determining whether individuals and families are eligible for government assistance programs. Eligibility Specialists may also be tasked with providing information about these programs to the public and this might include explaining how to apply for benefits, what documents are needed, etc.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

Eligibility specialists have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
Review applications for eligibility to ensure they meet all program requirements.
Processing applications and ensuring accurate data entry into computer systems
Conducting outreach activities such as publicizing new programs to the community
Coordinating with other departments to ensure that applications are processed in a timely manner.
Providing information about eligibility requirements and program rules and regulations to clients
Determining eligibility for government or private aid programs based on income levels, household composition, assets owned, debts owed, etc.
Assisting clients in completing applications for program eligibility with attention to detail and accuracy
Interacting with clients to provide information about program requirements and application procedures.
Preparing reports regarding eligibility determination results

Full time, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.

Brittany Lord joined AUE Staffing in 2011 with two years of previous experience as a Staffing Coordinator. Brittany quickly took on the role of Staffing Specialist with clients in Orange and Volusia County placing staff in light industrial, clerical, food service and janitorial positions. Brittany has built lasting relationships with clients because of her prompt attention to new job order requests and her employees’ needs. Brittany enjoys her role at AUE Staffing because she has the ability to help others be successful. One of Brittany’s successes was in early 2023, where she earned the title of Certified Staffing Specialist through the American Staffing Association. The certification brings additional knowledge and skills to her role as a Staffing Specialist, making her a valuable resource for clients and employees.  

Working in a small business, everyone where’s many hats and that is true for Brittany. She is our workers' compensation liaison between host employers, employees, and the insurance carrier.  

In her free time, Brittany enjoys the beach, cooking, exercising, and spending quality time with her husband, children, and two dogs.
