Job Description

Job Summary:
The Fiscal & Operational Support (FOS) Division within the Planning, Environmental, and Development Services (PEDS) Department is seeking qualified candidates to fill the Fiscal/Contract Administration Specialist position. This role involves fiscal responsibilities, contract administration, and customer service, including cashiering, invoice processing, data entry, filing, refunds, and answering phone calls.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with contracts and specifications.
Oversee and coordinate daily activities to optimize service contracts.
Assess project requirements and recommend internal resources or external vendors.
Prepare and verify cost estimates to ensure materials and services are available.
Collaborate with County officials, Department Directors, and Division Managers to review requirements and schedule work.
Maintain accounts payable and revenue records; analyze and reconcile accounts.
Manage fiscal records, project costs, contractor invoices, and payroll projections.
Audit, verify, and process invoices and travel reimbursements; prepare budget transfer requests.
Prepare requisitions and maintain accurate records of purchased goods and services.
Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports for funds, grants, and projects.
Assist in budget preparation and expenditure monitoring.
Provide guidance to accounting or clerical staff as needed.
Perform other assigned duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate s degree and three years of progressive experience in contract administration, fiscal, or financial services; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a closely related field.
