ARE YOU LOOKING FOR AN EXCITING, FAST-PACED, PART-TIME OPPORTUNITY? AUE STAFFING IS LOOKING TO HIRE FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANTS FOR THE UPCOMING 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR! THESE OPPORTUNITIES ARE MONDAY FRIDAY, MORNING TIME HOURS. GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, COLLEGE STUDENTS, OR ANYONE INTERESTED IN WORKING THE SAME SHIFT AS STUDENTS IN SCHOOL.
THIS IS A TEAM-BASED POSITION THAT WILL WORK WITH THE EXISTING KITCHEN STAFF TO ENSURE ALL THE CHILDREN ARE FED ON TIME AND IN A HYGIENIC SETTING.

Job Requirements

Examples of Essential Functions:
Performs food preparation, service, and clean-up duties in one or more functional areas, i.E., snack bar, salad bar, cashiering, food preparation, baking, cooking, set up, and clean up.
Performs set-up activities, i.E., assembling trays and carts, preparing condiments, assembling service lines, stocking utensils and napkins, reviewing menus, and retrieving stock.
Performs food preparation activities, i.E., assembling recipe/menu items, washing, and cutting fruits and vegetables, slicing breads and meats, opening canned goods, and mixing ingredients.
Adheres to district policies and procedures and all applicable regulatory standards governing food handling and service in educational institutions.
Other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift to 25 pounds frequently and throughout the entire shift.
Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
Ability to work in loud environments.
MUST be able to pass a Level 2 background check through fingerprinting as well as a drug screen.
Food service experience is a PLUS.
Schedule:
Monday Friday, unless schools are closed for holidays.
Morning time hours
NO WEEKENDS! NO EVENINGS!

Brittany enjoys her role at AUE Staffing because she has the ability to help others be successful. One of Brittany’s successes was in early 2023, where she earned the title of Certified Staffing Specialist through the American Staffing Association. The certification brings additional knowledge and skills to her role as a Staffing Specialist, making her a valuable resource for clients and employees.  

Working in a small business, everyone where’s many hats and that is true for Brittany. She is our workers' compensation liaison between host employers, employees, and the insurance carrier.  

In her free time, Brittany enjoys the beach, cooking, exercising, and spending quality time with her husband, children, and two dogs.
