**Job Title:** Group Home Cook

**Position Type:** Full-Time


**Job Summary:**

AUE Staffing Is looking to hire an experienced Cook to work in a group home in Orlando. The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious and balanced meals for residents in a group home setting. This role ensures that all meals meet dietary needs, adhere to food safety standards, and contribute to the overall well-being of the residents. The Cook will also manage kitchen operations, including meal planning, grocery shopping, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Job Requirements

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Meal Preparation:** Plan, prepare, and serve daily meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, following dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- **Dietary Compliance:** Ensure all meals meet the specific dietary requirements of residents, including any allergies, medical conditions, or religious dietary restrictions.
- **Menu Planning:** Develop weekly or monthly menus that are varied, balanced, and approved by the Group Home Manager or a nutritionist.
- **Food Safety:** Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in compliance with local health regulations. This includes proper storage, handling, and preparation of food.
- **Inventory Management:** Monitor kitchen supplies and food inventory, creating shopping lists, and purchasing groceries as needed within budget guidelines.

**Qualifications:**

- **Experience:** Prior experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a residential or healthcare setting.
- **Knowledge:** Strong understanding of nutrition, dietary needs, and food safety regulations.
- **Skills:** Excellent cooking skills with the ability to prepare a variety of meals. Strong organizational and time management skills.
- **Certifications:** Food Handler s Permit or ServSafe certification preferred.
- **Communication:** Good communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with residents and staff.
- **Physical Requirements:** Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.

**Working Conditions:**

- The Group Home Cook will work in a residential kitchen environment, which may involve varying temperatures and the use of kitchen appliances.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
