Under the routine supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, Plant Supervisor, or Crew Leader performs entry-level work in the maintenance, construction and repair of Utility Services facilities and water and sewer lines.
Temporary worker will be assigned to individual Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants County-wide. Below are the minimum requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for 5-8 hours
Ability to work with odors, grease and chemicals (such as lime and bleach) Ability to work outside in heat and humidity
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to do simple math calculations and measurements Must possess a valid Florida driver s license

This is physically demanding work. Work involves exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals, odors, noise, moving machinery and the weather.
