Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Worker - this position is mainly for grounds Maintenance and general labor but will be crossed trained to assist with other duties.


For the right candidate- this can lead into a position with the county

Job Requirements

MAINTENANCE WORKER
Under the routine supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, Plant Supervisor, or Crew
Leader performs entry-level work in the maintenance, construction and repair
. Below are the minimum requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for 5-8 hours
Ability to work with odors, grease and chemicals (such as lime and bleach) Ability
to work outside in heat and humidity
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to do simple
math calculations and measurements Must possess a valid Florida driver s license
Steel-Toed Boots

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The knowledge, skills and abilities identified in
this job specification represent those needed to perform the duties of this work. Some
knowledge of manual labor involving construction activities. Ability to follow instruction
regarding the principles and practice of utility line and facility construction, maintenance
and repair. Ability to communicate effectively, orally. Ability to establish effective
working relationships.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is physically demanding work. Work involves exposure to
hazardous materials, chemicals, odors, noise, moving machinery and the weather.
