DINING SERVICES EMPLOYEE 2026 2027 SCHOOL YEAR

Position Summary

AUE Staffing is seeking dependable, team-oriented Dining Services Employees to support campus restaurant operations for the 2026 2027 school year. This role plays a vital part in providing nutritious meals to students and staff while maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant dining program. Positions offer consistent Monday Friday, daytime schedules aligned with the school calendar.

Qualifications
High school diploma, equivalent, or Florida Special Diploma preferred
Valid Florida driver s license (required for positions with driving duties)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic knowledge of computers, cash registers, and food service equipment
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Functional reading, writing, and basic math skills

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities
Perform cashiering duties, manage student/adult accounts, and maintain accurate records
Follow federal, state, and local regulations, including meal pattern requirements
Prepare and serve food using standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
Operate commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, and mixers
Maintain cleanliness of serving lines, kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils using appropriate cleaning agents
Assist with catering events, including setup, service, and cleanup
Support daily dining operations to ensure efficiency and program success
Follow all safety procedures and report accidents promptly
Provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and guests
Participate in training and maintain professional work standards
When assigned, transport meals to off-site locations, including loading/unloading and handling meal counts, cash, and returns
Perform other duties as assigned in support of dining services operations

Equipment Used
Commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, mixers, slicers), POS systems, and computers

Physical Requirements
Medium work: lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
Frequent standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive hand motions
Ability to push, pull, and handle materials safely

Work Environment
Campus-based dining and kitchen setting
Fast-paced environment that may be hot, loud, and physically demanding
Exposure to temperature extremes (hot kitchens, cold storage areas)
Exposure to equipment, noise, and cleaning chemicals

Brittany Lord joined AUE Staffing in 2011 with two years of previous experience as a Staffing Coordinator. Brittany quickly took on the role of Staffing Specialist with clients in Orange and Volusia County placing staff in light industrial, clerical, food service and janitorial positions. Brittany has built lasting relationships with clients because of her prompt attention to new job order requests and her employees’ needs. Brittany enjoys her role at AUE Staffing because she has the ability to help others be successful. One of Brittany’s successes was in early 2023, where she earned the title of Certified Staffing Specialist through the American Staffing Association. The certification brings additional knowledge and skills to her role as a Staffing Specialist, making her a valuable resource for clients and employees.  

Working in a small business, everyone where’s many hats and that is true for Brittany. She is our workers' compensation liaison between host employers, employees, and the insurance carrier.  â€¯â€¯ 

In her free time, Brittany enjoys the beach, cooking, exercising, and spending quality time with her husband, children, and two dogs.
